Incumbent provides administrative support to the Human Resources Office. Work assignments will provide the incumbent with the opportunity to learn about the overall mission, functions and organization of the BOP. Increasingly difficult assignments will require the student to apply analytical skills, problem solving, coordination, written and oral communication skills. Work assignments will be designed to develop broader and more in-depth knowledge and skill to perform higher-level assignments. The incumbent may assist the Personnel Director, Branch Chief, Section Chief, Human Resource Administrator, Human Resource Manager, Assistant Human Resource Manager, and Human Resource Specialists in programs, such as external staffing and recruitment, internal merit promotion, performance appraisal administration, personnel security, incentive awards, benefits and retirement, training, data entry, Senior Executive Service program, and processing various personnel and payroll documents. In addition, filing and other clerical duties may be assigned. Special projects may be assigned as necessary. To be considered for the position, you must meet the following:
Applicants must be current students pursuing a degree or certificate in a qualifying educational institution with an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher AND maintain at least a half time or full time course load. AND GS-04:
Completion of two (2) full academic years of post-high school study or associate's degree. GS-05:
Completion of four (4) academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree. NOTE:

Recognition of Foreign QualificationsCredit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
